The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name (Exodus 15:3). For the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you (Deuteronomy 20:4).
On May 12, 2024, Pharisee Teresa Colon preached, "Last Days Power: God is Seeking for You”. Again, we did not like what she told the church. She commented on the book of John 4:1-54, and her sermon didn't deliver a central message.
However, Karen has a message for the church she sends from Greece.
Follow Karen's example of obeying the Lord on debt-related issues.
Jesus revealed to her that, according to Proverbs 22:7, debt is a form of bondage to God, and He wants to set her free from it. The reason is that the rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is the servant of the lender. She must stop being a slave to debt.
For the past few months, the Lord has slowly put Karen on the track of His finance system. We can read all about it. The word of God in the Old and New Testaments leads the normative position of His followers like her to take on lending, debt, and interest.
Debt is a sin before God. During biblical times, there weren’t Visa or Master Cards or auto loans, but lending and borrowing were part of the economic landscape. In our days, however, bank loans and credit cards are just two of many lending and borrowing systems around the world and God has been setting Karen free from the bondage system that has bound her to pay for an interest on debt.
You may not believe how easy it has been for her to get rid of such a vicious system that keeps not only her but many borrowers in slavery.
The financial system of the Lord is a huge topic to discuss; here, we put it in simple terms.
WE SHOULD LEND TO OTHERS WITHOUT CHARGING INTEREST
…”If you lend money to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest (Exodus 22:25).
You should not charge interest to your brother—interest on money or food or anything that is lend out at interest. To a foreigner you may charge interest, but not to your brother you shall not charge interest, that the Lord your God may bless you in al to which you set your hand in the land which you are entering to possess (Deuteronomy 23:19-20).
And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful (Luke 6:34-35).
WE SHOULD AVOID USURY FROM LENDING
‘If one of your brethren becomes poor, and falls into poverty among you, then you shall help him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you. Take no usury or interest from him; but fear your God, that your brother may live with you. You shall not lend him your money for usury, nor lend him your food at a profit. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God (Leviticus 25:35-38).
Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away (Matthew 5:42).
WE SHOULD NOT BORROW FROM OTHER NATIONS
…you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you (Deuteronomy 15:6).
THE YEAR OF RELEASE OF DEBTS OF THE LORD
In Matthew 6:12, we read Jesus’ second reference to lending-related terms, focusing on our debt to God and those in debt to us: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Having someone in debt to us means we are sinning against them. The sins and debts of others against us are to be forgiven. Forgiveness or release “of others” is necessary for seeking God’s release or forgiveness.
In the simplicity of His Words, we can read about it and benefit from it: “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the Lord’s release. Of a foreigner you may require it; but you shall give up your claim to what is owed by your brother, except when there may be no poor among you; for the Lord will greatly bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance— only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today (Deuteronomy 15:1-5).
WE SHOULD BENEFIT FROM TRADING RIGHTEOUSLY AND EARNING INTEREST FROM BANK SAVINGS
Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’ But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us.’ “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’ And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’ And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’ Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities.’ “Then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’ “And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.’ (But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas.’) ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me’ ” (Luke 19:11-17).
You will please the Lord if you put His word into practice as Karen does.
THE LORD IS MY BANNER
…Abraham, I am your shield… (Genesis 15:1). When the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).
The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name (Exodus 15:3). For the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you (Deuteronomy 20:4).
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
The wicked fall into their own nets (Psalms 141:10). For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, like birds caught in a snare, so the sons of men are snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them (Ecclesiastes 9:12).
The fear of the wicked will come upon him, and the desire of the righteous will be granted (Proverbs 10:24).
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not be weary (Isaiah 40:31).
Pharisee Tim Dilena preached part fourteen of the originally planned ten prayer sermons in the series "Because You Prayed" | "When Prayer Turns to a Cry" on May 19, 2024.
Do you cry when you pray? Many people experience overwhelming emotions when they reach out to God and sometimes cry for no reason. Karen loves the Lord very much and cries when she feels the presence of the Holy Spirit of God: “Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!’” (Galatians 4:6).

Pharisee Tim Dilena preached part fifteen of the originally planned ten prayer sermons in the series "Because You Prayed" | "When the Doctor Says You Have Only Months to Live" on May 26, 2024. One can only read about the story of King Hezekiah in (2 Kings 19:1-37 – 20:21) and (2 Chronicles 29:1-36 – 32:1-33). It is he who faced terminal illness and prayed to God, Who was His only hope for healing; the Lord ended up extending 15 more years of life to him.
Santorini, Greece
While we listened to this week's sermon, we found that Pharisee Dilena threatened Commander Rajabian again. He said that the battle goes on and on. What are they doing to her or planning to do to her at this time we don’t know. Princess Rajabian is fed up with their threats and abuses, and now that she is back from Greece and the Pharisees are calling for their execution, she has started to consider the existing execution methods available:
1. lethal injection
2. electrocution
3. lethal gas
4. hanging
5. firing squad
Before she travels to Dubai, when the situation in the nation improves, Commander Rajabian will add a new execution method to the list.
Regarding debt-related issues, when you decide to obey God and get rid of such an enslaving financial system, consider this word of Him: A god man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous (Proverbs 13:22). For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God (Ecclesiastes 2:26).
If you have any questions about it, please do not hesitate to contact Professor Rajabian for answers at [email protected].

On June 6, 2024, Pharisee Tim Dilena preached part sixteenth of the originally planned ten prayer sermons in the series "Because You Prayed" | "What do I Do When My Prayers Don't Seem to Be Getting Through? Dilena preached for about one hour and 20 minutes but he did not answer that question to the church!
Pharisee Tim Dilena, preaching at Times Square Church on June 2, 2024
When your prayers don’t seem to get through, you could do both: stop sinning to have God heed your prayers and learn how to pray His will. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:26). I learned it from Professor Rajabian.
Consider e-mailing her, she could teach you how to pray effective prayers.

On June 9, 2024, Pharisee Tim Dilena preached the last sermon of the series "Because You Prayed" | When Praying Without Ceasing Seems Impossible.
Pharisee Tim Dilena, preaching at Times Square Church on June 9, 2024
The Pharisees continue to mislead the church of God, now claiming that it is impossible to pray to God without ceasing. They are fools and blind, lacking the knowledge, wisdom, and vision to teach the word of God correctly. We know that Preacher Rajabian, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, will soon lead the church of God into the full truth of the Lord's word. She will also explain why, through the apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, the Lord instructs His church to “pray without ceasing”. For with God nothing will be impossible (Luke 1:37).
Since Professor Rajabian did not correct the Pharisees' teachings on prayer, they couldn’t use her teachings to write their planned book. Instead, they published a book that simply listed Bible verses on prayer and titled it her Bible teaching class at the 101 level.
For those curious about whether Commander Rajabian visited Athens during her trip to Greece, she did. She explored many ancient sites and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, a welcome break from the persecution she faces in New York City. She is now sharing some photos taken with her cellphone.

In our previous posts, we have documented a chronological account of God's work at Times Square Church and the challenges faced by His servant Karen Rajabian. The modern-day Pharisees within the church mirror those in biblical times—acting hypocritically and exerting influence over both the church and the common people. They often find themselves at odds with Jesus (the Word of God) and His servant Karen, due to their folly, blindness, and interpretations of God's law and religious practices.
Today, we present the latest actions of these Pharisees within the church of God, as reported in their sermon titled "Where There Are Hills, There Are Valleys," which they preached on June 16, 2024.
Pharisee Tim Dilena, preaching at Times Square Church on June 16, 2024
Pharisee Tim Dilena argued in "Where There Are Hills, There Are Valleys" that the hills and valleys of the promised land symbolize life's inevitable ups and downs. However, while life encompasses successes and setbacks essential for personal growth and development, spiritually, this interpretation diverges.
The expression "God is the God of the hills and valleys" originates from the account of a battle in the book of 1 Kings 20. The Israelites faced a massive battle with the Syrian King Ben-Hadad and the Arameans. God promised the victory to Israel. After the victory, the Arameans assumed the Israelites won only because they’d fought in the hill country. After all, “their gods are gods of the hills,” King Ben-Hadad’s Aramean advisers reasoned with him (1 King 20:23). “That is why they were too strong for us. But if we fight them on the valleys (the plains), surely we will be stronger than they.”
Ancient pagan religious practices often placed the altars in high places. In the bible, high places is a term for places of pagan worship on hills or mountains to bring them closer to their false gods. And he sacrificed and made offerings on the high places and on the hills and under every green three (2 Kings 16:4).
So, the Arameans underestimated God. The Lord God is not just “any god” but God Almighty, Lord of all creation and His sovereign power transcends any specific location or sphere of influence. God Almighty reigns supreme over every place on earth—whether it be a hill or a valley, demonstrating His omnipotence and universal authority.
Tim Dilena announced that the upcoming Pharisee prayer show will be held at the United Nations on July 5th, 2024.
The Pharisees proudly proclaim their teachings within the church of God, echoing the lessons of Professor Rajabian and adopting her mannerisms, which reveal their hypocrisy in the presence of Jesus. As a result, they grow incensed towards her, persisting in persecution and threats.

On June 23, 2024, Carter Colon delivered a sermon titled "Accept It: You Are the Last-Day Plan of God." During his message, he urged Karen to come to Times Square Church to claim God's promised land, even though it wasn't yet in the Lord's timing.
For over 18 years, the Pharisees, Sodomites, and Canaanites have positioned themselves as deities within the Church of God, replacing His authority with their own to fulfill their desires instead of the Lord's will. Exercising their self-imposed authority, they opposed Karen's preaching at Times Square Church, even though it was under the Lord's command. Currently, they are eager for these events to unfold and are attempting to undermine Karen before the congregation, pressuring her to come to the church and urging her to accept God's call on their terms rather than following God's timing as outlined in Scripture. Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, “pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess’ ” (Joshua 1:10-11).
Israel entered Canaan, fought to possess the Promised Land, and celebrated the Passover immediately after defeating the Canaanites as recounted in the Book of Joshua 1:1-18 - 5:1-15. Now the children of Israel camped in Gilgal, and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight on the plains of Jericho. And they ate of the produce of the land on the day after the Passover, unleavened bread and parched grain, on the very same day. Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year (Joshua 5:10-12).
Passover marks the celebration of Israel's liberation from Egyptian bondage, echoing God's protection and deliverance of Abraham from the battle against the Sodomites and their allies as well as a coalition of nations in Genesis 14:1-24. It was Abraham whom Melchizedek, the priest of God Most High, gave bread, wine, and blessings from God “after” he defeated all his enemies (Genesis 14:18). And the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley), after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him. Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tithe of all (Genesis 14:17-20). This ancient event prefigures the significance of Passover, a day of celebrating liberation immediately after winning the battles which is what deeply concerns the Pharisees. God liberated Abraham from the power of Satan, who operates through his enemies (Genesis 14:1-24).
The Pharisees warned Commander-in-chief-elect Rajabian that they would attack her at church when she returned, aiming to shame her before the congregation. They desire this to happen before God intervenes right before the celebration of Passover.
Preacher Rajabian acknowledges that she has received a significant divine calling: not only to possess the entire promised land but to take ownership of it and serve the Lord in His appointed time.

On June 30, 2024, the Pharisees persisted in damaging preacher Karen's reputation. During his sermon titled "If I Leave it, I’ll Miss it," following up on Sodomite Carter Colon's previous message to the church titled "Accept It: You Are the Last-Day Plan of God," Tim Dilena said that Karen is neglecting her commitment to serving the Lord. He urged her to remain steadfast in God’s calling despite the abuses and criminal offenses directed towards her. Dilena emphasized that facing adversity and difficulties, rather than avoiding them, could foster deeper spiritual growth and understanding, though he struggled to effectively convey this message to the church.
Preacher Rajabian steadfastly awaits God's call and timing, unwavering in her commitment to inherit the promised land.
Recently, she has been asked whether God could alter His timing for this inheritance. According to biblical examples (Exodus 32:7-14, 2 Kings 19:1-37 – 20:21, 2 Chronicles 29:1-36 – 32:1-33), God can indeed change His mind in His sovereignty, especially in response to prayer. Preacher Rajabian has firsthand experience of God adjusting His plans in certain situations. Truly, God is capable of anything because He is God.
As the end times draw near, should God choose to alter the timing of inheriting the modern times Canaanite land, He will direct Commander-in-Chief Elect Karen Rajabian to it. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29).
False teachers, much like the Pharisees of old, prioritize contentious preaching over focusing on the core principles of truth of God's word, they cause discord and division within the church. This illustrates the realization of God's prophetic warnings in our era, pointing towards the culmination of times. But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber (2 Peter 2:1-3).
Did you know that besides the Pharisees, there are others conveying messages to Karen through recorded teachings and preachings? Karen receives numerous messages, yet none offer apologies or express regret for their falsehoods and underestimations. Some of them are wealthy individuals who wrongly believe they are superior to her. This situation is unacceptable to her and she has stopped watching their videos. For one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses (Luke 12:13-15). “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” No one comes to the Father except through Me, Jesus says (John 14:6). The messages reflect their faith in God and their varying states of existence: spiritual, carnal or natural. The natural man regards spiritually godly things as foolishness, while the spiritual man dwells in a spiritual state. Meanwhile, the carnal man is unregenerated, and right in his own eyes, he acts according to his fleshly desires. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:1-16). And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me (Matthew 11:6).
On July 7, 2024, Tim Dilena delivered a message to the church of God titled "Fighting Without Shoes." However, conveying the sermon's central theme about walking barefoot proved challenging. Viewers of the video may have noticed his tendency to complicate matters with convoluted language, often straying from the intended context, a pattern reminiscent of the teachings of the Pharisees.
What is the significance of "Fighting Without Shoes"? This theme is referenced in the Bible, specifically in Joshua 5:13-15. Joshua encounters a man wielding a sword who reveals himself as the commander of the Lord’s army. Joshua bows down and worships, seeking the commander’s message. In reverence to God, the commander directs Joshua to remove his sandals because the ground on which he stands is holy. Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.
The phrase "holy ground" appears only twice in the Bible, once in the Old Testament and once in the New Testament. God first identified the area where He met Moses on Mount Horeb (Sinai) as holy ground. At this place, God commanded Moses to approach Pharaoh and demand the release of the Israelites from Egyptian bondage. When Moses encountered the burning bush through which God spoke, God gave him two commands: not to come near and to remove his sandals. These commands were meant to emphasize that Moses was standing on holy ground (Exodus 3:5). A similar experience is the one described by Joshua. Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so (Joshua 5:13-15).
The ground itself was not inherently holy; it was God's presence that made it so. The ground was made sacred by God's presence, the essence of holiness.
When we say that “God is holy,” it means that God is completely pure, perfect, and set apart from all sin and imperfection. Holiness is a fundamental attribute of God’s nature, signifying His absolute moral and ethical perfection. It encompasses God’s righteousness, justice, and purity.
One crucial thing to keep in mind is that whenever preacher Rajabian instructs on the Bible or corrects the Pharisees' mistakes and false teachings and they adopt her teachings, you'll notice it reflected in their subsequent preaching. This pattern may repeat itself soon.
Commander Rajabian doesn’t need miracles to possess the promised land of God. On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, God spoke to her again. At this time to guide her in matters related to His call to serve Him, her journeys, His blessings, and the recovery of the $6,000 she lost to a fake cryptocurrency website, among other things. She is happy to know that the day to serve God in modern times Canaanite land is approaching.
Miracles do not serve as spiritual weapons in the warfare described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Paul the apostle enumerates the spiritual armaments believers are to employ in their battles against Satan, our invisible enemy: Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every though into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Currently, Commander Rajabian continues fighting the spiritual fight against the devil and simply receiving answers to her prayers from God little by little.
Also, Pharisee Dilena acknowledged that Times Square Church was denied permission to hold a prayer show at the United Nations on July 5, 2024. In response, he shared that he felt compelled to pray outside the UN building, guided by what he perceives as God's direction. Nevertheless, we have concerns regarding this approach, questioning whether God communicates in this manner with those deemed to be wicked.

On July 14, 2024, Tim Dilena delivered a message to the church of God titled "A Warning to the Church that is Becoming a Den of Thieves". In this sermon, he called the backsliding church to heed the Holy Spirit’s conviction and avoid becoming complacent in sin, urging Karen and the church to seek true repentance and holiness. These are topics that preacher Rajabian has addressed on this website. In our previous posts, we anticipated that our readers would expect the Pharisees to preach Rajabian's teachings about Jesus to the church.
The Pharisees at Times Square Church have gained notoriety for their dishonest practices which we have written in this blog. In addition to these wrongdoings, they utilized the church lobby for commercial purposes, selling books and videotapes of sermons. This parallels the biblical account where Jesus, upon entering the Temple, drove out the Pharisees and all those engaged in buying and selling, overturning tables and benches, proclaiming, "My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves" (Matthew 21:12-13). Anticipating Karen's intent to cleanse the temple similarly to Jesus, they preemptively ceased their sales activities.
Pharisee Dilena inferred that the wealthy individuals who have been conveying messages to Karen, offending her and underestimating her during live broadcasts, should repent and offer her apologies if they genuinely grasp the significance of the Holy Spirit's work. Preacher Rajabian also emphasized that in addition to apologizing, they should heed the words of Jesus from 1 Peter 1:16: "Be holy, because I am holy."
Preacher Rajabian teaches that Jesus has chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom of God which He promised to those who love Him (James 2:5-6). She is convinced that it's preferable to be spiritually rich despite material poverty because wealth cannot secure eternal life in Jesus Christ.
Health and wealth tempt us to no end, but they can never deliver what we need most. Christ is the only true life and treasure.
A man came to Jesus and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ” The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept fom my youth. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:16-26).
The love of money is a root of various evils, leading some, akin to the Pharisees, astray from their faith due to greed, causing them much sorrow (1 Timothy 6:10). And so money cannot secure our eternal life; only Jesus can.
