Are you afflicted and would like to be liberated from the bondage of congenital defects, incurable illnesses and diseases such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, autism, tinnitus, epilepsy, down syndrome, poliomyelitis, paralysis, diabetes, etc.?
I am the Lord Who heals you has said the Lord (Exodus 15:26).
The spiritual healing of the Lord is prophetic! The Bible states, by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:4-5). That is, Jesus Christ not only came to save us from sin but He came to make us whole. Jesus was flogged 39 times with one of the many torturing tools of the Roman soldiers.
Since the Holy Scriptures indicate that healing is a part of the reason of our Lord’s sufferings, and is inseparable from the idea of salvation, we know that it is God’s will to heal you today!
The bible states that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17), but some people say “seeing is believing.” Regardless of who they are, they could read it on the Bible. Since not many people believe in healing and therefore don’t see any folks being healed, it’s hard for them to believe God can do it today. But even if only one person has been supernaturally healed, then the gift of healing bestowed by the Lord, is available even today when in fact many believers have been healed, or have seen others healed, or have even been used by the Lord to heal others. That makes the Bible passages indisputable because He is the Lord Who Heals You! (Exodus 15:26).
All of Jesus preaching, teaching and healing miracles are to be seeing in relation to the kingdom of God. The scriptures confirm repeatedly that Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). It also says, He went to the villages and towns... "healing every sickness and every disease among the people" (Matthew 9:35). In the synoptic gospels, there are about twenty one healing miracles. The phrase “your faith has made you well” is significant throughout the gospels. We should ask for healing and expect a positive outcome.
In (John 2:11) Jesus' miracle at Cana is described as "the first of His signs." Further signs are mentioned in general terms in (John 2:23), and in (John 4:54) the healing of the official's son at Capernaum is described as "the second sign that Jesus did when he had come from Judea to Galilee." Then (John 12:37) says, "Though he had done so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in him," and this note is sounded again in the closing summary of the gospel (John 20:30-31): "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe."
Throughout the gospel (John 12:37-38), (John 20:30-31), the miracles are also presented to those who did not have a heart prepared to God as intending to call forth faith (John 2:11; 4:53; 6:14; 7:31; 11:45, 47-48; 12:37-38; 20:31). The emphasis is on having a heart prepared for God as the prerequisite for faith miracles (Mark 6:5-6); here in the gospel of John miracles induce faith to others. These references are in concordance with the rest of the synoptic gospels were in a few occasions Jesus repudiates the lack of faith of the people to see His signs (John 4:48), (Matthew 12:38-39).
The bible testifies that Jesus healed and delivered people free from the bondage of sicknesses and diseases through the laying on of hands: When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them (Luke 4:40). However, He also healed without laying His hands on people. In fact, there were times when He was nowhere near the vicinity of those He healed. In (Matthew 8:8), we read that Jesus healed the servant of the centurion without going near the centurion’s house. The centurion came to Jesus and told Him that his servant was sick. In the story, this man did not even pray or ask Jesus to come and heal his servant. Before he had a chance, Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” This is the willingness of Jesus to heal the sick.
One way of understanding the broad spectrum of the healing of the Lord is by reading the bible, or through the teachings of the church of God. But if you are one of those who do not like reading the bible or coming to the house of God, then, the book entitled “Why People Behave the Way They Do?” written by this writter, which will soon be in the market, could be another alternative to learn all about it. But so far, if in the past God said, “I am the Lord who heals you,” and He doesn’t change, and He’s the same yesterday, today and forever, then He’s still the Lord who heals us today!
The synoptic gospels show that during Jesus’ earthly ministry, there were occasions that people approached Jesus for healing. Not once did Jesus turn anyone away or state that it was not His will. This is significant since the bible is intended to show God’s will for man. In one instance, a leper came to Jesus inquiring whether it was His will to heal him. He said, "Lord, if it is your will you can heal me." Jesus extended his hand and said, "It’s my will; be healed!" And the man’s leprosy vanished (Matthew 8:2-3).
The kingdom of God has been inaugurated but has not yet been completed. We read in the bible that Paul the apostle taught that God bestow some believers with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which includes miracles, prophecy and healing (I Corinthians 12:8-10). It is how we know that God's true church is not just about word but power.
Why is healing God’s will today? Because of the willingness of Jesus to die on the cross!
Today, the healing of the Lord is a practice still experienced in the true Christian church of God. In response to the call God's call to serve Him, soon, at my home church, I will be ministering my Prophetic-Healing Gifts He has equipped me with. By the will of God, I will be ministering to Him, His healing power, prophecy in real time, miracles, etc.
For Jesus Christ said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will recover” (Mark 16:15-18). Those signs followed His disciples who believed His words. One such an example in seen in Luke's account of the healing of a crippled beggar (Acts 3:1-10). According to the sound doctrine of the Lord, Peter and John went to the temple to pray and worship at the hour of prayer. As they arrived, a man with no use of his legs because of a congenital condition is being carried to his accustomed begging place. The depth of his need is apparent to all. In these ordinary circumstances, the apostles obeyed the word of the Lord, the lame man appealing to the generosity and piety of his peers--an Divine encounter occurs.
At first Peter seems to disappoint the beggar by declaring his lack of money. This serves only to heighten the value of the great gift he does offer: complete healing, which is in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that it was given. Peter fixes his eyes on the man, and asks for the same attention in return. Peter commands the man to walk and grabs him by the right hand to raise him up. It was the power of the hand of Lord upon Peter doing the miracle.! Through the gift of the apostle Peter by the power of God, the man's feet and ankle bones receive strength. Jumping up, he stands for the first time in his life. He tries out his freedom by walking around; then, in a response natural to one who in faith realizes that he has been touched by God's power, he moves around walking and jumping, and praising God for fulfilling a great promise in His life: Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing (Isaiah 35:5-6).
Jesus' disciples witnessed the fulfillment of that promise: Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there. Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel (Matthew 15:30-31).
The Lord is the only one that can do spiritual liberation. And Jesus' disciples are to follow their Master's steps. It is God's church that is to practice His unique doctrine; the place where one can confirm that His power is present and that it is His will to heal today and tomorrow!
Also the belief that God answered and answers prayers for healing is still taken for granted today as well (James 5:14-16). Therefore, we can go to God in faith and call upon His name as our healer. Through God’s call upon my life to minister the Prophetic-Healing Gifts of His Will during this generation, He who promised to heal us after two thousand years, will do it!. And we will be witnessing the Lord Jesus Christ healing the needed in mass and giving His Holy Spirit to those who believe in Him around the world.
The healing power of God sets people free. The church of God will experience the healing power of God even through miracles to cast out the power of Satan. Many people will be liberated from the bondage of incurable illnesses and diseases and torments such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, tinnitus, epilepsy, down syndrome, poliomyelitis, paralysis, diabetes just as during the ancient church. The blind will be given sight, the deaf will hear, the mute will talk and the lame will walk and even jump! Many others will be healed from congenital defects, and even the dead raised, etc.
God equips believers to attack and defeat the powers of Satan in many ways to help the needed. Another way is by casting out demons. By the power of Christ fetishes and altars are destroyed, satanic forces overturned, and the spirit- possessed healed. The church, like Jesus, actively confronts Satan's powers in all their manifestations in order to bring people under the sovereignty of God. Christians have the assurance that they will overcome because they have a greater power than that which is in the world (I John 4:4).
This gift of working miracles (I Corinthians 12:10) and the gift of healing are different, but have something in common. This is that they do not depend on the laws science. Thought they are different, they work simultaneously. The Holy Spirit of God bestows the gift of working miracles, which is simply defined as the divine suspension of the natural order of things, such as walking on water, changing water into wine, raising the dead, and feeding 5,000 with a few morsels of food. Miracles are natural with God.
Miracles are Divine events against the laws of darkness, "a wonder", a "mighty work", produced by the power of God, defeating the works of the devil.
Although the physical kingdom of God has come, the kingdom of Satan continues to exist. Contrary to some of the pharisees' expectations, the arrival of the kingdom of God did not eradicate of the kingdom of Satan. The people overwhelmed by evil forces are to wait on the Lord to act. He knows that evil forces coexist in this world with forces of God. He must not "consult the mediums and wizards" (Isaiah 8:19) but "wait for the Lord" (Isaiah 8:17) and turn to "the law and to the testimony" (Isaiah 8:20). He must not "consult the dead on behalf of the living" (Isaiah 8:19). Knowing that both the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan coexist in this present world, the Christian of an animist heritage is able to differentiate the two.
The proclamation of the kingdom is confusing to some people. Simon of Samaria was a sorcerer considered by the people to be so powerful that they acclaimed him as having "the great power of God" (Acts 8:9-11). Philip powerfully preached the mighty acts of God in defeating the powers of Satan -- the message of "the good news of the kingdom and the name of Jesus Christ" (Acts 8:12). Simon, drawn by the demonstration of power that accompanied Philip's message, believed and was baptized (Acts 8:13). Even Simon could not resist seeking the true power. He thought that Peter and John, apostles sent from Jerusalem to impart spiritual gifts to the new Samaritan Christians, were power brokers like the animistic practitioners of his tradition. Simon, therefore, approached them about buying the power of the "laying on of the apostles' hands" (Acts 8:18). In this context, the people who believed in the power of Simon thought that his power was a good power. Without doubt, his power was not the power of the Holy Spirit, but the power derived from the deceitful Satan.
